HUGE Giveaway! Enter TODAY ONLY!

My life has been such a whirlwind lately that I’m horribly behind on all things blog.  I have to take this VERY late opportunity to tell you about a GINORMOUS giveaway that I’m a part of over at Mommy Wants to Read!  She has several awesome prize packages.  I’m included in Package B here – Harvest Baby with wonderful fall-themed baby items. Her blog makes entries so easy too.  It is only open through 10/24 (that’s TOMORROW!) so (sorry for the short notice, but) go enter! I’m giving away two...

Blogging, Hosting, and Getting Hacked

So, you’ll notice the website is changed.  If you’ve been with me a while then you’ll recognize the theme as an old one I had used.  Last week someone hacked my account and put up a phishing site.  My site was shut down by my host (BlueHost) and when I called in they said *I* had to clean it up.  Now, I design websites and I can write HTML, Javascript, php, etc. but I know fuck all about the backend of all this.  I thought that was why I was paying $80+ a year for a host!  I was wrong.  Not only was it my responsibility to fix the hack but if I didn’t BlueHost...

But why wasn’t it going on here, you ask?  Well, I’m proud to announce that I launched a new website in honor of the carnival called Parenting Gently!  This new site is a community peer support forum where parents can ask their gentle-minded questions and get answers from other parents that have wisdom to...

Just Relax! A Benefit for a Family in Need

There is a very important even coming up that I hope you can attend (Ohio moms) or support in some small way for a much deserving family. I first met Jen in the virtual sense.  She is a fellow infertility blogger and was a Cycle Sista with me and I became hooked on her hilarious posts over at Maybe If I Just Relax. We were cycle sisters once again in May of 2008 – the IVF cycle when we both conceived our first child!  I had Aellyn on February 11 and she had Olivia on February 14th. A few months later I started Aellyn in Kindermusik and our instructor, Miss Dana (another wonderful...

Late To The Party!

I love blog parties but I’m woefully late to this one hosted by the Peaceful Housewife – I hope late is better than never! If you aren’t familiar with a blog party it is when like-minded bloggers have a posting/commenting blitz.  It is a great way to “meet” other bloggers/mamas and find great new reads.  The blog party is specifically a Natural Parenting Blog Party so you’ll find tons of great blogs in the list here (scroll to bottom).  The party goes on until April 30th so there is still time to join the fun! Peaceful Housewife gave us a list of...
