Ugh.  I’m so sick.  Vomitville meet Headachetown and Exhaustion Island.

Ok, I know that pissing and moaning about pregnancy is frowned up on in the infertility community.  I get it, honest.  I’ve been there when hearing a pregnant women bitch would send me into tears.  If that is the spot you are in – I apologize and I know that place and I offer hugs.  That being said, it doesn’t really matter how over the moon I am at carrying twins – I’m still barely functioning I’m so sick.  I mean BAD.  ALL. DAY. LONG.  I don’t vomit consistently but I have headaches and constant, mind-numbing nausea.  And I’m SO EXHAUSTED.  I mean I’m taking a nap when I get home from work and still going to bed at 9:30 and STILL tired.

Oh and did I mention both sides of my butt are lumpy and bruised from the damn progesterone?  whaaaaaaaaaaa.

Ok, besides feeling like the floor of a taxi cab (name THAT movie!), I’m so excited to be expecting two bundles of joy!  I’m reading all about the differences between multiple and single pregnancies.  I’ve decided to go with a maternal-fetal specialist (perinatologist) and to deliver at a hospital with a Level III nursery rather than the birth center.  I want to have technology available if needed.  I’m very concerned about Gestational Diabetes and Pre-e and just preterm birth in general.  I want the babies in there as long as possible and as fat as possible.  Needless to say eating 3,500 calories is not easy when you want to hurl.
